Katherine Hill

My work sits at the intersection of photography and art, where light, emotion, and memory come together. Rather than simply recording what I see, I aim to convey how a place, an object, or a fleeting moment feels. Each image begins with a photograph, but it rarely ends there.
Through a layered process that blends elements from my extensive archive of digital imagery, sometimes incorporating hand painted textures, I create richly textured compositions that are both familiar and dreamlike. Light plays a central role in my work, not just in form but in mood, often guiding the emotional tone of each piece.
All prints are produced on fine art paper, allowing for deep tonal range and detail. The result is a collection of works that are as much about presence and atmosphere as they are about subject matter.
My images have recently been exhibited and sold through local art shows, and I continue to explore new ways to merge the seen with the felt.
