Christopher Smyth

I am very new to the world of art, painting and drawing. I only took it up after I retired from 43 years in the classroom teaching physics.
When I was at school I was more than encouraged to give up art as I was told I would never get a GCSE.
I am still at the stage of trying everything, experimenting and learning. I enjoy sketching and watercolour and I am learning and hopefully mastering the nuances and techniques associated with acrylics.
Once I start a painting I become totally immersed and involved. For me it very much acts as a form of meditation.
