I am a printmaker and graduated in Fine Art at the University of East London, and then MA printmaking at Camberwell College of Arts. Also a qualified English teacher to chinese students in China. A member of the Printmakers Council in London and have exhibited in the UK and abroad.
My love of nature, and in particular mushrooms, has been used as a symbolic tool for expressing evocative past memories, hopes and dreams of my childhood, as well as past and present life experiences. In my prints mushroom forms become living beings with their own feelings and thoughts. They experience a wide spectrum of emotions of joy and love to loneliness, parenthood and pain. Working with simple abstract forms surrounded by large spaces I aim to evoke powerful memories . I use soft, sharp occasionally hard images while experimenting with a range of printing methods and techniques.
