I am probably best described as a leisure painter. Although I painted and drew a bit during my working life, unsurprisingly, I have produced more since retirement.

 

Most of the work is pencil drawings and watercolours (with occasional ventures into acrylics and oils) and falls into two categories - portraits and portrait sketches; and plein air landscapes across Europe and in South Africa.  I have particularly enjoyed some watercolour painting holidays with the artist Hazel Soan.

 

I have recently joined Ringway Art Group and have enjoyed painting and drawing in a collective environment. Some of my portrait sketches have been used by Blackheath Halls.
