About SMAG Art limited
The Full Story
Founded in 2017 by local artists, SMAG Art Limited uses the space at St Michael and All Angels Church, Blackheath, as a venue to showcase local talent and raise funds for local charities.
We run two exhibitions each year (typically May/June and October/November), raising funds through artwork sales commissions, artist entry fees, and donations. After essential costs, almost all proceeds support charities in the Greenwich and Blackheath areas.
SMAG Art Limited is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation.

Online
Following the cancellation of our May 2020 exhibition due to COVID, we developed an online exhibition platform, which continues to complement our physical shows.
SMAG 17
Our last exhibition, SMAG 17 during Oct. / Nov. 2025 had representation from 94 artists displaying 257 pieces of artwork, attracted over 810 visitors and led to the sale of 81 pieces of artwork valued at £8,241. This allowed us to give £3,900 to charity, bringing our total charitable contributions since inception to £49,320.

Since its inception in 2017, SMAG Art has delivered 17 exhibitions, showcasing 3,568 artworks and generating £100,376 in gross sales. This has raised £49,320 for local Greenwich and Blackheath charities and supported hundreds of local amateur, semi-professional, and professional artists.
