I took up painting seriously once I had retired as a lawyer, having previously dabbled and I seem to have applied similar energy and determination to this new life.

 

I really enjoy using oil paints to emphasise colour, shade and contrast in different subject areas, principally landscape but also abstracts, still life, portraits and people scenes. I particularly enjoy painting wedding scenes, dogs and bird life. What is so exciting is to try different mediums, different paints, different size canvasses, different angles and different ideas and concepts and see what develops!
