SMAG Art Limited is a not-for-profit company run entirely by volunteers.
In February 2017, a small group of local artists had the idea to use the beautiful space of St Michael and All Angels Church on One Pond Road, Blackheath, SE3 9JL as an art gallery. This group is now registered as a not-for-profit company, SMAG Art Ltd, and runs two exhibitions a year with the aim of raising funds for local charities as well as showcasing local talent.
Virtual Art Exhibition 15 November - Present
Due to Covid-19 leading to the cancellation of our planned May 2020 Exhibition, the Directors of SMAG considered ways in which we could continue to raise funds for charity and provide the continued opportunity for local artists to display their works. Hence, we decided upon an online presence.
As our planned November 2020 Exhibition has also been cancelled due to UK National Lockdown restrictions, we have decided to host our second Online Exhibition, commencing on the 15th November 2020.
Net proceeds of art sales (i.e. SMAG's commission) will continue to go towards the benefit of local, nominated charities performing good works in the community.
